    3Dell Inspiron i15R-1632sLV 15-Inch Laptop (Silver)
    By John L. Ragle
I purchased this laptop after returning a similar ACER version which was defective. The Inspiron is a typical DELL product, very good but not outstanding. This particular machine has no defects that I can tell; it has a chicklet keyboard like the ACER, but the keys are a bit more raised and rounded, and I find I can touch-type on it without too much difficulty (I do not like chicklet keyboards!) One property of this machine that astounded me was the weight...this is no feather-light item--it seems to weigh a ton, figuratively speaking. The screen definition is excellent, but this particular unit can't be set low enough in brightness to make viewing comfortable under all conditions. I recommend it as a compromise between a fixed-location unit and a true portable. One can carry it in an appropriate satchel, but it is not a unit that one would use on the subway or in an airplane...it is too massive.

    4Works great... now
    By Lexi
I purchased this laptop at 480 dollars (501 with tax). It was a good deal, in my opinion. I ordered the one day shipping and it arrived on time. Now, first I'll tell you my experience with getting it set up. It sucked. I opened it and I was so excited to use it. But it wouldn't stay connected to the internet. It would connect fine but it would keep cutting out. Even just 5 feet from the modem. It would stay connected to the network just not the internet. It was not my wifi because every other wifi object in the house worked fine. So after trying to get it to work for a day, I called Dell tech support. They tried but couldn't figure out what was wrong. I wanted to return the laptop and just try again with something else but I kept trying. Tech support told me that I could pay to talk to a "Windows certified technician" or I could go bite my mad spot, basically. So I paid 110 dollars to have them fix it. It took them three days to do so.

That being said, it works amazing now. Internet stays connected and it loads up quick. I've only been using it for a few days so I don't know about everything it does but I'm happy with it now. I called back and paid the extra 90 dollars to the tech support guys for the year of software warranty though. That way I know they'll help me if it gets stupid again.

Overall, I'm happy. I gave it four stars because it works NOW and I love it. It almost got a one though. I'm sure most other people would have just returned it.

    4Dell Inspiron 1632 - Great buy!
    By A. Mottola
I have owned many Dells desk tops and have been supplied Dell lap tops by my work, and when my eight year old Dell desk top started slowing down, I decided to order another Dell. This lap top arrived in a sealed factory box and booted up without any issues.
I would have given it five stars, but the keyboard is a bit flimsy. It seems to move downwards when I press the keys. The other issue which others have reported, is that the wifi reports lower signal strength at the same location then what my other Dells do. Other than these two issues, this is a nice machine.
